1990 (unsure of exact year)
The Arthurian Tarot (Hallowquest) by Caitlin and John Matthews
I can't recall the year I purchased my pack of Arthurian Tarot but ever since it has been the pack I use for readings and insights.
John & Caitlin have a wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of the roots and heritage of Camelot , Arthur and the Knights of the legendary Round Table. Miranda Grey was given the task to illustrate these cards and what she created was the whole nine yards and then some. Each card is a voyage into the realms as each card is full of elements and characters.
John & Caitlin not only produced these which in the original pack had a Black arched background as seen in the Stone Hallow below . To enhance the journey even more they produced extensive study program and advanced handbook The Hallowquest
What I like about this pack is the back edge that draws my attention into the card. The cards are full of imagery associated with the tales of Camelot, Arthur, Merlin and of course the knights.
BEYOND 1990's
I have mainly focused on working with my beloved Arthurian Tarot deck. I purchased a handful of Doreen Viture cards but they are not my thing . That is the story so far.
